Boy band The Wanted will debut their new reality series on TV in America this weekend (02Jun13) with a dressing down from manager Scooter Braun over their partying ways. In a teaser for the show, The Wanted Life, Braun blasts the boys for taking their fun-loving antics too far, and scolds singer Jay McGuiness for showing up at the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade drunk. McGuiness defends himself by saying, "You should know that we're in our 20s and we'll have a party... (but) we're not gonna, like, set fire to a baby." The svengali, who also represents Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy, responds tersely, "What I need you to do is understand you aren't here to party. If you're gonna party, you have to be smart about it. "You have to realise the position you're in now; you're not normal 20 year olds anymore and you have to look at things in a completely different way." Meanwhile, appearing on U.S. late-night show Chelsea Lately on Tuesday (28May13), McGuiness admitted the group's new reality series is tough for him to watch - because there's so much boozing. He explains, "We actually watched a little bit for the first time today and... I'm actually quite appalled. "It is quite embarrassing to see yourself slowly get really drunk, it's never nice. And especially in HD (high definition), you look terrible... It's never good." But he insists The Wanted Life does have its sweet moments: "I think, hopefully, people will see there's a bit of heart... It sounds pretty stupid, (but) there's a lot of love here between each other and I'm happy that was shown."
