Actress Busy Philipps was left "crushed" after she was asked to lose weight for a role in a TV pilot. The former Dawson's Creek star admits she has long struggled with body image issues, and she was just 24 years old when she was asked to slim down for a part. In a new episode of The Conversation, she explains, "I was asked to lose weight by a network for a TV pilot. The conversation happens because you get a job and your agent or manager calls and they say, 'They are so excited about you. They just think there is no one better for this part and they want you to look and feel your best - they really feel that that could include losing 15 or 20 pounds'... "I think I was a little crushed. I want to say that I was like 24 when that happened... I feel like it's the last frontier of feminism - the weight thing with women - even for myself. I identify as a feminist. I have so many feminist beliefs - and then I'm so mean to myself about my body sometimes. Or I can be judgmental about other people for their bodies, and I don't know how to get over it." Philipps, who is currently pregnant with her second child, admits she struggled to shed her baby weight after giving birth to her daughter Birdie in 2008. She adds, "I love that whole weird misconception, 'I just lost it all breastfeeding.' It's like, 'No, you didn't!'"
