Beloved actress Betty White is auctioning off an evening of her company to raise money for an animal charity. The Golden Girls funnywoman, who is a staunch animal-rights activist, is giving fans the chance to accompany her to the upcoming Morris Animal Foundation Gala of Hope. The highest bidder will win two round-trip tickets to Los Angeles, stay at luxury hotel The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, and sit at White's table during the event. The auction, taking place on eBay.com, will generate funds for the Morris Animal Foundation, which aims to improve veterinary medicine. White has been a trustee of the foundation for 40 years. The current bid stands at $2,000 (£1,290), but fans are able to vie for the date until 24 June (13). The gala is scheduled to take place in October (13).
