Sean 'Diddy' Combs has spoken out to clarify his comments after he appeared to voice his opposition to commercials during the world's biggest advertising conference in France this week (beg17Jun13). The rapper attended the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to unveil plans for his new Revolt music channel, and he conducted an interview with business mogul Steve Stoute at the event. During the chat, Combs touched on the subject of advertising, and said, "I hate watching commercials just like anybody else." However, he moved quickly to correct the offhand remark, and explained away his comments during a speech at the event on Thursday (20Jun13), telling the audience, "First of all, I want to say I love commercials, I love commercials. I don't remember what I was thinking when I said that (previous comment), I would never say that again. I just like the best commercials, the commercials that make me emotional." Combs marked the end of his trip to Cannes by hosting a huge party with fellow rapper Nas, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
