Rapper J. Cole gave his fans a special treat at a free gig in New York this week (beg17Jun13) by performing with Drake and later reappearing for a second surprise set. The hip-hop star put on a gig at the Irving Plaza venue in Manhattan on Wednesday night (19Jun13) and fans were let in on a first-come first-served basis, with many queuing for hours on the street outside in a bid to secure a place. Cole didn't disappoint the lucky few who made it into the venue, treating them to an appearance from Drake, who rapped with him on their collaborative track In The Morning. Drake also performed several of his own songs during the set. However, Cole's evening was far from over, as he surprised the crowd by reappearing for a second set later in the night after wrapping up his first performance. Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z was in the audience watching the gig, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
