Actors Jason Biggs and Taylor Schilling's new comedic drama series Orange Is The New Black has been renewed for a second season before the show has even premiered. The programme, an original series for online streaming service Netflix, is based on the memoir by Piper Kerman and stars The Lucky One beauty Schilling as a woman jailed for her connection to an international drug smuggler, played by Laura Prepon. Biggs stars as Schilling's onscreen fiance. Orange Is The New Black, from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, is due to launch on 11 July (13) and Netflix bosses are so impressed by the first series, they have already ordered a second cycle. Netflix representative Cindy Holland says, "Jenji and her team have produced a phenomenal series and we're eager to get a second season to our viewers." The show is the latest Netflix offering to be renewed - Kevin Spacey's political drama House of Cards and Eli Roth's horror Hemlock Grove have both been picked up for second series.
