British socialite Tamara Ecclestone has made her marriage official by exchanging vows with her new husband at a low-key ceremony in London weeks after the couple's lavish wedding party in France. The daughter of billionaire Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone celebrated her union with Jay Rutland on the sun-soaked French Riviera last month (Jun13), hosting a huge four-day wedding event rumoured to have cost around $5.4 million (£3.5 million). However, it has now emerged they had to make the marriage official back in Britain - so they turned out for a much smaller wedding at the Kensington & Chelsea Register Office at Chelsea Old Town Hall on Monday (01Jul13). Ecclestone wore a plain cream dress, and the only guests were her sister Petra and brother-in-law, who threw confetti on the newlyweds as they emerged after the civil ceremony.
