Filming on British reality TV show Geordie Shore has been suspended following the arrest of two castmembers. Bosses at MTV, the network behind the programme, have decided to halt production in the aftermath of a bar brawl in Newcastle, England in the early hours of Wednesday morning (03Jul13). Vicky Pattison, 25, from Newcastle, and Holly Hagan, 20, from Teesside, England were detained by police over allegations they were involved in a late night bar fight which left an 18-year-old model in hospital. The teenager was allegedly attacked with a high-heeled shoe during a night out which was being filmed for the TV show, the British version of popular U.S. series Jersey Shore. A statement from TV bosses reads, "Following an incident during filming that has led to a police enquiry into an alleged offence by a member of the cast, MTV and Lime Pictures have temporarily suspended filming of Geordie Shore series 7 pending further enquiries. The decision has already been taken to remove certain cast-members from the production process for the time being." A spokesman for Northumbria Police adds, "An 18-year-old woman was taken to the RVI (Royal Victoria Infirmary) for treatment and has now been released. Two women aged 25 and 20 have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are helping police with enquiries. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police."
