Rap mogul Jay-Z has recruited rocker Jack White to create a unique vinyl version of his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail. The hip-hop superstar reveals he left the track Open Letter off the new project so he could include it on a special deluxe record and he is using the title of the song to inspire the creation of the vinyl release via White and his Third Man Records company. Speaking to New York's Hot 97 DJ Angie Martinez on Tuesday (09Jul13), he explains, "That (song) goes on the vinyl. Jack White, you know, aside from being a brilliant musician, he has this vinyl store so he makes these special edition vinyls, and we're gonna put that (Open Letter) on the vinyl. "It's in (the form of) a letter and you can play the letter. It's amazing. So you open the letter and you can actually play the card, like a vinyl." White recently oversaw the special gold and platinum editions of The Great Gatsby soundtrack, which was executive produced by Jay-Z.
