Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, John Mayer and Kings Of Leon are teaming up for a star-studded benefit concert in New York City to raise money for the Global Poverty Project. The artists will come together in Manhattan's Central Park on 28 September (13) to urge world leaders convening in the city for the United Nations General Assembly Meeting to take more action to end extreme poverty. Charity founder Hugh Evans says, "We must push our leaders to step up and commit to action. This is not just a concert. We are building a movement." The first annual Global Citizen Festival was held last year (12), with the Black Keys, Foo Fighters and Neil Young & Crazy Horse all participating in the show.
