Injured Mariah Carey performs at Sandy benefit show

Jul 14, 2013 | 6:15am EDT

Mariah Carey played through the pain at a Superstorm Sandy relief benefit show in New York City on Saturday (13Jul13), less than a week after she dislocated her shoulder on the set of her new music video. The pop superstar was hospitalised on 7 July (13) after she took a tumble while filming a promo for a remix of her track #Beautiful with rapper Young Jeezy. As well as a dislocated soldier, Carey also cracked a rib, but she refused to let the injuries affect her performance at the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert on Saturday. Taking to the stage on Central Park's Great Lawn, the star sported a jewel-encrusted sling and joked to the audience about her new accessory, "We like it?" She added, "I'm not in the best of health. I really don't want to be seen in a sling."
