A collection of Dame Elizabeth Taylor's belongings, including jewels and the headdress she wore in Cleopatra, are to be auctioned off later this year (13). The items, which are being sold by an unnamed former employee of the late Hollywood legend, will go under the hammer at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California on 12 October (13) after a period on display in Ireland. The collection includes earrings, necklaces, dresses and film costumes such as the headdress, which is expected to fetch between $2,000 (£1,290) and $3,000 (£1,935). A dress created by designer Chris Levin which Taylor wore to Richard Burton's 50th birthday in 1975 has the same estimate. The gold cape the beauty wore in the 1963 epic sold for $59,375 (£38,306) when it was auctioned last year (12).
