Incarcerated rapper C-Murder is facing a civil trial after he was found liable for the 2002 death of a slain teen. The embattled hip-hop star, real name Corey Miller, was sentenced to life in prison in 2003 after he was found guilty of killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas in a New Orleans, Louisiana nightclub. The boy's parents, Delores and George Thomas, later filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the younger brother of rap mogul Master P, seeking unspecified damages to compensate them for their grief, and now the case is heading to trial after U.S. Judge Glenn Ansardi ruled the star was responsible for the teenager's passing on Tuesday (16Jul13), according to local publication The Times-Picayune. A trial date has not yet been set, but before the hearing Miller explained to fans he is struggling to pay his legal bills as he only makes $0.10 (GBP0.06) an hour for work performed at the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.
