The son of glam rock legend Marc Bolan has launched legal action against a music publication over allegations of copyright violation. Rolan Seymour Feld filed suit against Westminster Music Limited in a Los Angeles court earlier this month (Jul13), claiming bosses at the company had no right to use the T. Rex star's hits as they did not renew their contract. In documents, Feld claims the copyrights to his father's back catalogue ran out in 1999, meaning he is now the sole owner of the songs as Bolan's only heir. He is seeking $2 million (£1.2 million). Bolan, real name Marc Feld, died in a car accident in 1977 when his son was just two years old.
