Fans of rockers The Smashing Pumpkins have been assured a London gig on Monday night (22Jul13) will go ahead as planned, despite concerns frontman Billy Corgan wouldn't make it to the venue on time due to a train delay. The singer/guitarist was travelling to the U.K. from mainland Europe for the Wembley Arena concert when he found himself stuck on a stalled Eurostar train on Britain's hottest day of the year so far. Corgan took to Twitter.com to complain about the delay, writing, "Currently TRAPPED on a stalled Eurostar train, temps over 140 degrees. They won't let us off, people fainting." A band spokesman has since updated WENN, stating, "Just want to make sure fans know the show is still on." A message on the group's Twitter page also reads: "We got stuck on a train today but rumors of us having to cancel tonights (sic) London show are not true."
