A Flock Of Seagulls frontman Mike Score has urged fans to be vigilant and look out for his stolen gear online after a thief drove off with the group's van on Sunday (21Jul13). The Eighties rocker and his bandmates lost $70,000 (£46,670)-worth of stage equipment and computer files linked to Score's upcoming solo album when a man stole their rented vehicle from a hotel parking lot after a gig in California at the weekend (20Jul13). As cops study hotel surveillance footage in an effort to track down the main suspect, who appeared to break into the white van before driving off, Score is monitoring websites in a desperate effort to track down a missing keyboard, two Fender Aerodyne Telecaster electric guitars and a customised drum kit, among other instruments and equipment. Score tells WENN, "The best way to help is to tell anyone interested to watch out for stolen gear. We are checking (listings website) Craigslist and eBay all the time. People can contact us via Facebook or the police if they suspect things are not on the up and up (legitimate) or suspect they know where things that might be stolen are."
