New mother Penelope Cruz has made her directorial debut by taking charge of a short film starring her husband Javier Bardem. The couple, which became parents for a second time earlier this month (Jul13), has teamed up to shoot a promotional film for lingerie brand Agent Provocateur. Cruz, who designs a line for the company, took charge of the shoot in her native Madrid, Spain and directed Bardem opposite her heavily pregnant sister Monica. The campaign film marks the Oscar-winner's directorial debut and it was truly a family affair as the star's brother, Eduardo, composed the soundtrack and their mother, Encarna Sanchez, helped out on set, according to WWD.com. Cruz says of the film, "(It was) very personal and important for me, a very interesting experience. They gave me all the freedom and I was able to tell the story I wanted to tell." The actress gave birth to her second child, a daughter, in Madrid on 22 July (13).
