Singer Kelly Rowland feared for her life when she became stranded out to sea with a group of friends last month (Jul13) after the group lost its way while whale watching off the coast of Massachusetts. The Destiny's Child star embarked on a private boat trip with four pals from Provincetown, but lost sight of the vessel they were following and were adrift for more than 10 hours before they were rescued. Rowland managed to contact friends onshore who alerted the Coast Guard and the boat was eventually towed back to safety. She tells People.com, "(There was) no more shore, no more land, we're seeing no more of the buoys, no more of the boats passing by - it's just in the middle of nowhere. So we realised that we're lost at about 1.35 (pm), at 11.47 pm we got to shore so all that time we're trying to (contact people) but nobody has a signal on their phone... "I was like, 'Please, Lord, give me two bars' (signal). He gave me two bars and we contacted some folks that were on land and they helped us... "The waves coming in were five to 10 feet high and the boat was only a 27 foot boat and it felt like forever for us to get back to shore and I remember thinking to myself, 'Lord, please don't let this boat capsize. Please let us get to shore in one safe, sound piece. I just want to see tomorrow.' And I did, 11 hours later"
