The producers of iconic porn movie Deep Throat are taking legal action in a bid to block the release of Amanda Seyfried's Linda Lovelace biopic over allegations of copyright infringement. The new film, simply titled Lovelace, stars Seyfried as the adult actress-turned-anti-porn advocate and the project allegedly features three scenes from the 1973 hardcore movie. Bosses at Arrow Productions claim they never approved the use of the Deep Throat clips in directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's Lovelace and they are demanding at least $10 million (£6.67 million) in compensation, in addition to an injunction to halt the film, which is scheduled to open in cinemas later this month (Aug13), reports TMZ.com. Arrow executives insist they only previously agreed to allow Deep Throat scenes to be used in a rival Lovelace biopic, Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, which was due to star Malin Akerman as the porn queen. That film has since stalled due to financing issues.
