Acting veteran Morgan Freeman is offering fans the chance to challenge him in a game of golf to raise money for underprivileged schoolchildren. The Shawshank Redemption star is auctioning off a round of golf with him followed by an intimate lunch in Los Angeles and a photo opportunity so the lucky winner can remember their special day. Freeman hopes to raise over $10,000 (£6,600) for the Communities In Schools projects which places adult professionals in schools to provide extra help and support for children. Bidding had hit $5,750 (£3,800) on the Charitybuzz.com website as WENN went to press.
