U.S. reality TV star Sean Sasser has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 44. The former The Real World: San Francisco regular, who was featured on the MTV show in 1994, died of mesothelioma, a rare cancer of the lungs, according to his partner, Michael Kaplan. He was also HIV positive. His former castmate Judd Winick broke the news to fans via Twitter.com in the early hours of Thursday (08Aug13), writing, "Our friend Sean Sasser has died. Our love goes out to his family & husband Michael. We will miss u so much." Sasser became known on U.S. TV for his relationship with former cast member Pedro Zamora. The couple held a committment ceremony months before Zamor died from complications from AIDS, and Sasser went on to find love with Kaplan.
