Gary Shusett passes away at 72

Hollywood film school creator Gary Shusett has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 72. Shusett passed away on 9 August (13) in California. In 1971, Shusett launched Sherman Oaks College, aka the Star Maker, where James Cameron, Sylvester Stallone, Nancy Myers, Matt Groenig and Paul Haggis studied. Throughout the years, he also persuaded the likes of Orson Welles, Billy Wilder, Lucille Ball, Rod Serling, George Carlin and Richard Dreyfus to lecture or teach at the school. Shusett's brother is Ronald Shusett, who wrote and produced Alien, Total Recall and Minority Report.
