Actor Eddie Murphy has teamed up with rapper Snoop Lion to record a reggae song. The Dreamgirls star joined Twitter.com on Tuesday (03Sep13) and released the track Redlight to fans on the social media site. Murphy also announced that he would be releasing a reggae album titled 9. This isn't the first musical venture for the actor, who first began making music in the 1980s and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Stevie Wonder, Rick James, Nile Rodgers and Michael Jackson. Snoop tipped fans off to his collaboration with Murphy in a Rolling Stone magazine article earlier this year (May13), but suggested the two stars would be working on a film project together. He said, "I'm gonna holler at him, see if I can get some paper (money) to do some of these movies. I got a lot of ideas and I'm tired of paying for them myself."
