David Beckham was never officially involved in Gordon Ramsay's new London restaurant, according to a report which has emerged amid rumours the sports star has pulled out of the project. The retired soccer legend was said to have teamed up with the celebrity chef to launch a new eaterie in the British capital, the Union Street Cafe in Southwark, which is due to open its doors later this month (Sep13). Speculation erupted this week (beg09Sep13) over rumours Beckham had walked away from the project, but a new report now suggests the former England player was never officially onboard. A source tells the London Evening Standard, "It is too much to say he has pulled out. It is more that they are mates, they spoke about it, he had a look but they are not involved officially." The pair is reportedly in talks to work together in the future.
