The Wanted star Nathan Sykes suffered a "complete mental breakdown" while the boyband was holed up in Los Angeles filming a reality TV show. The British singer previously revealed he considered walking away from the shoot for fly-on-the-wall series The Wanted Life earlier this year (13) after he fell sick with a haemorrhaging vocal cord. He has now revealed the true extent of his troubles, admitting he locked himself away in his bedroom after becoming extremely emotionally disturbed. Sykes has blamed his meltdown on his vocal issues and insists he is now fully recovered. Speaking on Alex James' U.K. radio show IN:DEMAND, Sykes says, "Let's put it this way; I locked myself in my room for three days so I wasn't filmed... It was completely a mental breakdown... It was completely a full-blown mental breakdown. I blamed it on the voice though, so it's fine." His The Wanted bandmate Siva Kaneswaran adds, "The voice was sore and there was a lot of emotions going through Nathan at the time - and rightly so! But all good now."
