Harry Potter star Timothy Spall has recorded a special video in honour of the cult British TV show which launched his career. The revered character actor first found fame playing an awkward electrician in U.K. comedy drama Auf Wiedersehen, Pet in 1983 and he went on to enjoy acclaimed roles in several Hollywood movies. Fans and producers of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, which centred on the antics of a group of British construction workers abroad, celebrated the show's 30th anniversary at a convention in Newcastle, England over the weekend (21-22Sep13), and Spall shot a special video tribute for the event. The programme's stars, including Tim Healy, Kevin Whately, and Julia Tobin attended the celebration, but Spall and fellow castmembers Jimmy Nail and Christopher Fairbank could not take part so they filmed a clip in which they each shared their memories of the show.
