Pop superstar Cher has revealed her new song is a cover of a Miley Cyrus track from The Last Song soundtrack. The Believe hitmaker admits she didn't know the former Hannah Montana star had recorded the ballad I Hope You Find It in 2010 until she was finished with the record. She tells U.S. breakfast show Today, "I guess she didn't have a hit with it, I don't know because it was just an album cut and they forgot about it and my producer, who's such a genius, thought, 'That would be good for Cher', and I didn't realise it until I finished dishing (sic) her to death." Last week (ends22Sep13), Cher bashed Miley Cyrus' controversial MTV Video Music Awards performance in August (13), during which the pop star gyrated and 'twerked' onstage, clad in a barely-there outfit. She said, "I'm not old fashioned. She could have come out naked, and if she'd just rocked the house, I would have said, 'You go, girl'. It just wasn't done well. She can't dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn't great, one (butt) cheek was hanging out." However, the singer explains, despite her criticism, there is no bad blood between the two. She continues, "There's no tension. I just got too happy with the sound of my own voice telling everybody what I thought about this and every interview that's what they wanted to know."
