Ironworks created by Bob Dylan are to be exhibited in London in November (13). The Halcyon Gallery's Mood Swings show will highlight Dylan's welding and metalwork creations. Highlights will include iron gates, a guitar and a treble clef the singer/songwriter has crafted over the years. They will be shown alongside original paintings. The Lay Lady Lay singer, who hails from Duluth, Minnesota, says, "I've been around iron all my life ever since I was a kid. I was born and raised in iron ore country - where you could breathe it and smell it every day, and I've always worked with it in one form or another." And he hopes fans particularly like his gates: "Gates appeal to me because of the negative space they allow. They can be closed but at the same time they allow the seasons and breezes to enter and flow. They can shut you out or shut you in. And in some ways there is no difference." The exhibition will open on 16 November (13) and run until 25 January (14).
