Publicist Max Clifford pleads not guilty to assault

Top British publicist Max Clifford has pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of indecent assault dating back to 1966. Clifford, whose celebrity clients have included boxer Muhammad Ali and Simon Cowell, was arrested in December (12), during a police investigation into child sex crimes by late BBC broadcaster Jimmy Savile. He stands accused of assaulting seven girls aged from 14 to 19, but in court in London on Friday (04Oct13) he maintained his innocence and was released on bail ahead of a trial, which is scheduled to begin in March (14).
