Actor Vinnie Jones is determined to give his fellow Brits a helping hand in Hollywood and even holds regular parties for struggling screen stars. Jones found fame as a soccer player in his native U.K. and launched a movie career with a role as a debt collector in 1998 gangster hit Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels after retiring from the sport. He has since carved out regular roles for himself in Tinseltown, and now he and his wife Tanya hold special weekend parties at their home in Los Angeles to make their fellow countrymen feel welcome as they try to make it in Hollywood. Jones tells Britain's The Observer Magazine, "I hold my arms open to Brits in L.A. I was very lucky - Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels gave me a head start. But it's a lonely place. On a Saturday night we take in all the waifs and strays. We have outdoor parties; (Quentin) Tarantino (in the house next door) has them indoors in his cinema."
