The teenage son of hip-hop superstar Snoop Dogg has been suspended from his high school football team in California after becoming involved in a brawl with a rival player last week (ends18Oct13). Junior wide receiver Cordell Broadus has been forced to sit out Diamond Bar High School's game this week (begs21Oct13) as punishment for allegedly punching an opposing team member from Diamond Ranch High School during a match last Friday (18Oct13). Video footage obtained by TMZ.com appears to depict the 16 year old charging at his rival, prompting a full-on melee to break out on the field. Referees called off the game three minutes before full-time as a result of the clash, and officials from high school football governing body, the California Interscholastic Federation, have since handed out suspensions to a number of young athletes, including Broadus. The news will come as a blow for the teen - he is currently being scouted by representatives from a number of top colleges and has already been offered a number of scholarships, including a deal to play at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana in 2015. The news comes just a day after Broadus' father spoke about the pride he feels for his son during an appearance on Monday night's (21Oct13) Jimmy Kimmel Live! show in America. Snoop Dogg explained his boy was on course to become the first member of his family to complete college.
