Michael Palin and musician Pj Harvey will guest edit Britain's revered Today radio show over the Christmas period (13). Bosses of the BBC Radio 4 programme hand over the reins to a raft of well know figures over the festive holidays, and this year (13) Palin and Harvey are among the chosen few. The Monty Python star will be joined by his longtime pal John Cleese to discuss the backlash their 1979 film The Life of Brian received from Christian leaders, while Harvey will talk about her political and musical influences. Today editor Jamie Angus says, "For the past 10 years, Radio 4 Today's Christmas guest editors have brought a surprising and refreshing editorial perspective to some of our biggest running stories, as well as unearthing original treasures that we'd never have found by ourselves." Previous guest editors include Bono, Yoko Ono and Damon Albarn. It looks set to be a busy winter for Palin - the star is expected to announce a Monty Python reunion with his former cohorts at a press conference in London on Thursday (21Nov13).
