Scarlett Johansson's voice will not win her a Golden Globe Award next year (13) - her performance as an unseen artificial intelligence programme in Her has been ruled ineligible for consideration by Hollywood Foreign Press Association officials. The Avengers star picked up a Best Actress prize for her acclaimed role of Samantha at the Rome Film Festival in Italy earlier this month (Nov13), but she won't be repeating the big win at the Globes, according to EW.com. The vocal performance in the new romantic drama, directed by Spike Jonze and co-starring Joaquin Phoenix, will not be among the nominees for any of the actress categories announced on 12 December (13) after executives for distributor Warner Bros. lost an appeal against the HFPA ruling on Tuesday (26Nov13). But not all is lost for the actress - officials at the Academy Awards and Screen Actors Guild have deemed Johansson's work in Her eligible for their Supporting Actress prizes.
