Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian Mckellen regularly fluff their lines while on stage, but they help each other out by improvising to cover their mistakes. The British acting veterans are currently starring in a Broadway double bill of Harold Pinter's No Man's Land and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, and Stewart admits errors are inevitable during such a gruelling repertory act. He tells the New York Daily News, "I do it (fluff my lines), but I don't worry about it. If it happens, it happens," while McKellen reveals they have worked out a system to cover their mistakes, adding, "We share a look and work it out. Do a little improvisation and move on. It's inevitable in doing two plays."
