The funeral of British actress Jean Kent was postponed over the weekend (07-08Dec13) as police continue to investigate her death. The star, aged 92, was admitted to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, England on 28 November (13) after a fall at her home and she died two days later (30Nov13). Her death is being treated as unexplained and Suffolk coroner Dr Peter Dean ordered a post-mortem examination to be carried out last week (ends09Dec13), forcing her family to cancel her planned burial on Saturday (07Dec13). Police are continuing enquiries into her passing and an inquest is set to take place next week (beg16Nov13). A spokesperson for Suffolk Police says, "Police are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of an elderly lady who died on November 30, 2013. As is standard procedure with sudden deaths the lady's death is being treated as unexplained. "Enquiries are continuing to establish the cause of death and in order for a file to be prepared for the coroner." Kent's relatives hope to hold the funeral on 21 December (13).
