Singer/songwriter The Child Of Lov has died from complications following surgery. The 26-year-old Belgian, real name Martijn William Zimri Teerlinck, passed away on Tuesday (10Dec13), according to his manager Trey Reames. He says, "On behalf of the family and as his manager I must announce that Martijn Teerlinck, aka Cole Williams, aka The Child of Lov, aka Sun Patzer, is no longer with us. "He lived a life of struggle and can now rest peacefully. In his own words: 'When I was younger, I had a tough time physically. I have seen too many hospital beds. It made me stronger. Makes you realise death is always near, for anyone. And what a wonderful thing life is and how grateful we should be.'" Child Of Lov worked with Damon Albarn and Doom on his self-titled debut album, which was released in June (13). He was the recipient of NME's Philip Hall Radar Award at the 2013 NME Awards. He was due to perform at the State-X event in The Hague, Holland on Saturday (14Dec13).
