Matthew Perry is returning to TV for a revamp of movie-to-TV series classic The Odd Couple. The actor, who has starred in a series of flops following his days on Friends, is hoping his new role as grumpy Oscar Madison will be another hit. The Odd Couple started out as a Neil Simon play, before becoming a cult film starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. It also took off as an early 1970s TV comedy with Jack Klugman and Tony Randall in the lead roles. It's not yet known who will play Madison's sidekick Felix Unger in the new series.
