The three-piece suit Orson Welles wore in the pivotal final scene of Citizen Kane is to became a Christmas present for one lucky film memorabilia collector when it goes under the hammer at auction on 21 December (13). The outfit is part of a Profiles in History sale of Western Costume Company wardrobe items. It can be seen in the classic film in the scene where Orson Welles, as Charles Foster Kane, holds a snow globe and utters his final word, "Rosebud". The suit is expected to fetch over $60,000 (£40,000). Other highlights from the weekend (20-22Dec13) auction include silver screen icon Rudolph Valentino's black bolero vest from The Son of the Sheik; Marilyn Monroe's Pola Debevoise black felt hat from How to Marry a Millionaire; Vivien Leigh's Scarlett O'Hara black mourning hat from Gone With the Wind, and the green military jacket and pants Frank Sinatra wore as First Lieutenant Sam Loggins in Kings Go Forth.
