Actress Melissa Gilbert is celebrating the new year pain-free after undergoing a revolutionary new procedure to put a stop to her severe headaches. The former child star of Little House on the Prairie has long endured debilitating migraines and neck pain, but she underwent a nerve-blocking injection at the Michigan Headache & Neurological Institute in Ann Arbor just before Christmas (13) and it appears to have solved her health problems, reports the National Enquirer. Taking to her Twitter.com blog the day after undergoing the anti-inflammatory procedure, the 49 year old wrote, "Good morning Tweetiepies (sic). Doing great today. Just a little sore but my pain is basically gone." Meanwhile, Gilbert had another reason to celebrate over the holidays - she is preparing to renew her vows to her husband, The West Wing actor Timothy Busfield, after he gifted her with a new engagement ring. Showing off the diamond in photos on Instagram.com on New Year's Eve (31Dec13), she wrote, "And so on the anniversary of our engagement my husband got down on one knee and re-proposed. Surprising me with a gorgeous new engagement ring." The couple became engaged over the festive season in 2012 and tied the knot last April (13).
