Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd has started working with a psychologist to help him conquer his nerves in auditions. The Fantastic Four star admits he has been struggling with movie tryouts in recent months, so he has enlisted the help of a professional to give his confidence a boost. Speaking on Welsh TV show Prosiect: Ioan Gruffudd, he says, "I'm auditioning for dozens of parts at the moment, but I'm just not getting them. I can't play someone who's 30 anymore... maybe 35 at a push. "So it's difficult, especially when have to provide for your family - and, unfortunately, I'm the one shouldering all that responsibility right now. "My confidence has really taken a knock, and the worst thing you can do when you're feeling like that is to go to one of these auditions. "You really don't want to come across as desperate, so I've been working with a psychologist to help me overcome all that, in order to make me feel more at ease in those situations and like I really don't care what happens." The 40 year old welcomed a second daughter, Elsie, with wife Alice Evans, last September (13). They are already parents to four-year-old Ella.
