Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou has been fined $1.2 million (£800,000) for breaching the country's one-child rule for families. The House of Flying Daggers director recently confessed to fathering three kids with his wife, Chen Ting, but insisted he was ready to accept punishment for breaking the rules. Chinese authorities have now imposed a fine of approximately $1.2 million (£800,000), which has been calculated using the couple's combined income in the years the children were born. He reportedly has 30 days to pay the sum. The news comes after Yimou recently challenged the government's evaluation of his earnings.
