Marc Jacobs' longtime photographer refused to shoot Miley Cyrus for a new fashion campaign. The Wrecking Ball hitmaker was named the new face for the spring (14) collection for the company on Wednesday (08Jan14), and showed off a wild and windswept image taken by David Sims on her Twitter.com page hours after her new role was announced. Jacobs has now revealed Sims was commissioned to capture Miley for the campaign after his longstanding photographer Juergen Teller opted not to take on the job. The designer tells WWD.com, "I have worked with Juergen for years and love him as an artist. He just didn't want to shoot her." Despite Teller's refusal to photograph the singer, Jacobs insists he loved working with Cyrus. He continues, "We all just love her and her entire being, her energy, her talent, her intelligence, everything. There's nothing I don't like about her. She is just genuine and very natural."
