Pusha T backtracks over Clipse reunion album comments

Jan 14, 2014 | 3:00pm EST

Rapper Pusha T has backtracked over comments he made suggesting a new Clipse album is in the works, insisting he is focusing on his solo work. Earlier this month (Jan14), the star posted a photo of himself back in the studio with The Neptunes superproducers Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, and bloggers at popular site claimed the recording session was actually for a new release by Pusha T and his brother No Malice, who make up the hip-hop duo Clipse. The Mercy hitmaker appeared to confirm the rumours by sharing a link to the blog post on his page, alongside the caption, "It's coming" - but now he claims that isn't the case. Speaking to U.S. DJ Heat, he says, "I never leaked anything about the Clipse. I didn't do that. All I did was tell everybody that I was in the studio for 20 days with Pharrell and Chad... Right now I'm on my Pusha T. I don't want to mislead nobody..." However, Pusha T insists he is still hoping Clipse will return to the charts in the near future following their 2009 effort, Til the Casket Drops. He adds, "I would love for that (new Clipse material to happen). I love my brother."
