The death of country singer Wayne Mills has been ruled a homicide. The singer died after a shooting at the Pit and Barrel bar in Nashville, Tennessee last November (13) and a medical examiner has now concluded he was killed by a single gunshot to the back of the head. The autopsy report, issued by Davidson County Medical Examiner's Office, also revealed Mills was intoxicated at the time of his death, and suffered two broken ribs and numerous cuts and scrapes before he passed away. The bar's owner, Christopher Ferrell, has been charged with second-degree murder, but insists he acted in self-defence after a heated confrontation with the musician, who he claims flouted no-smoking rules at the venue the night of the incident. Ferrell is free on bail and due back in court on 6 February (14).
