Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is expanding her extensive business resume by working on a new online jewellery store and designing greetings cards. The Sex and the City star has signed up to curate members-only site Wetheadorned.com, picking out her favourite designer pieces from the collections for buyers. Co-founder Tim McElwee says of Parker's involvement, "She's a fashion icon, and that kind of says it all. I love that she will go to an event in an elegant dress and pair it with a bada** piece of jewellery." She has also lined up a separate project to design Hallmark greetings cards, wrapping paper and stationery. Parker tells WWD.com of the Hallmark collaboration, "I love cards, I always have. I'm a big believer in the power of a hand-written note, so I was very interested in being involved with this project." Parker's other projects include creating her own shoe line, SJP, which is due to launch this year (14), and working as president of designer brand Halston Heritage.
