Dj Funkmaster Flex is gearing up for a legal battle with his ex-girlfriend after petitioning a judge to deny her request to raise his child support payments. The hip-hop star, real name Aston George Taylor, Jr., currently pays Haydee Diaz $4,000 (£2,500)-a-month in child support payments, but she has requested the amount be raised to $5,000 (£3,125) to cover their 12-year-old son's private school tuition and summer camp fees. In the legal papers, filed in a New York court on 16 January (14), Taylor, Jr. wrote, "Expenses such as swimming is not a need (and) there is no entitlement to provide summer camp at a cost of $8,000." Diaz's attorney, countered, "Every child deserves to be supported in the same lifestyle as his father." Taylor, Jr. was ordered to pay Diaz child support in 2003 when his income was $245,000 (£153,125). He now lists his yearly salary at $373,000 (£233,125), according to the New York Post.
