Actor B.J. Novak has scored a publishing deal to write his first children's book. The Inglourious Basterds star, who attended America's prestigious Harvard University, is currently preparing to release his debut adult fiction collection, One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, next month (Feb14), but he's already lining up his next project. The Book With No Pictures will be the first of two kids' titles from Novak, who will publish the work through Penguin Young Readers Group. Explaining the unusual title, he states: "I wanted to write a book that would introduce the youngest of kids to the idea that words can be their allies, that the right words can be as fun, exciting, and ridiculous as any pictures... Also, I can't draw." Novak isn't the first celebrity to turn children's writer - Jamie Lee Curtis, Julianne Moore, Jim Carrey, Jessica Lange, Ricky Martin and rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne have also penned stories for kids too.
