Stone Temple Pilots have called off a number of upcoming shows in Asia, Australia and the Middle East due to issues with the recording of their latest album. The rockers, who are now fronted by Linkin Park star Chester Bennington, have cancelled appearances in Dubai, Indonesia and at the Soundwave festival Down Under throughout February (14). Soundwave organisers confirmed the news in a post on the event's official site: "Stone Temple Pilots regretfully cancel all upcoming shows. "The recording of the new album has now gone beyond schedule and sadly the availability of the recording studio, engineers and the producer or lack thereof dictates that the band have had to cancel their upcoming engagements." The band was set to headline the multi-city festival in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide from 22 February (14). They have been replaced by Australian punk rockers The Living End.
