Former Westlife star Nicky Byrne has landed his own radio show in his native Ireland. The singer will present a new mid-morning show on 2FM after taking over from DJ Colm Hayes, who is moving to a different time slot. Byrne is not new to radio in Ireland - he presented the Celebrity Sunday show on 2FM in 2010 and filled in for regular host Ryan Tubridy last year (13). He says, "The thought of being on air Monday to Friday is daunting but very, very exciting. It is a massive opportunity for me, one in which I hope I can deliver on. Now it's time to start planning, developing and presenting my new show and I really can't wait to get chatting to our listeners."
