Former Friday Night Lights stars Jesse Plemons and Derek Phillips will reprise their roles from the acclaimed TV drama for a new digital spin-off series. Hopes for a film adaptation of the football-centred show were recently dashed, but Friday Night Lights fans can get their fix in a new web series titled Friday Night at the Luncheonette. The four-episode series will be a crossover with another acclaimed drama, Parenthood, which is currently on air and executive produced by Jason Katims, who also helmed and co-created Friday Night Lights. Plemons and Phillips will reprise their roles of Landry Clarke and Billy Riggins respectively, as their band, Crucifictorious, heads to the fictional Luncheonette recording studios as seen on Parenthood. Friday Night at the Luncheonette will debut online on Thursday (13Feb14).
